🚢 Getting to the Property (Fire Island Pines)

Our home is located on the scenic east end of Fire Island Pines. Because Fire Island is a car-free paradise, reaching the property requires a short, refreshing ferry ride across the Great South Bay.

🚗 Arriving By Car

1. Take the Long Island Expressway (I-495) to Exit 59 South.
2. Turn right at the first traffic light onto Ocean Avenue (Route 93).
3. Follow Ocean Avenue for 6.5 miles, continuing straight as it turns into Main Street in Sayville.
4. Follow the clear “Fire Island Ferry” street signs directly to the marina docks.

Parking Information: Secure, daily self-parking is available directly across the street from the ferry terminal at the River Road Parking Lot.

🚂 Arriving By Train

1. Take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) to the Sayville Station.
2. Upon arrival, look for the Colonial Taxi shuttle vans waiting right outside the station, which are timed to meet arriving trains.
3. The cash-only shuttle fare is $5.00 to $6.00 per person for the quick 8-minute ride straight to the ferry terminal docks. *(Tip: Grab cash before leaving the city, as shuttles do not accept cards!)*

Ferry to The Pines

• Once at the terminal, purchase a round-trip ticket specifically for the ferry bound for Fire Island Pines.
• Current ferry rates are $20.00 round-trip for adults ($11.00 for children).
• The ferry ride takes about 20 to 25 minutes.

Step 3: Island Arrival & House Delivery

Once your grocery order arrives at the Sayville mainland dock, Coastline Freight loads it onto the next available freight boat to Fire Island Pines.

🏠 Final Doorstep Delivery: When the freight boat lands on the island, Coastline Freight coordinates directly with local island carting services to transport the boxes straight to the house.
